Mostafa Borahay, MD, PhD
Dr. Borahay is Associate Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Johns Hopkins University. He is a Physician Scientist with focus on translational and clinical research of uterine fibroids and endometriosis. He is also the director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Sadia Afrin, PhD
Dr. Afrin is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dr. Borahay lab at the Dept. of Gynecology & Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University. Born in Bangladesh, she completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in Italy. She has published more than 50 research articles. In Dr. Borahay lab, she is currently investigating the role of simvastatin on uterine fibroids.
Mariko Ishiwata, MD, PhD
Dr. Ishiwata is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dr. Borahay lab at the Dept. of Gynecology & Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University. She joins us from the University of Tokyo in Japan where she worked as Assistant Professor of Ob/Gyn after completing her MD, residency training and PhD. Her area of interest is Reproductive Science where she has several publications in scientific journals.
Lauren Reschke, MD
Dr. Reschke is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Clinical Fellow at the Dept. of Gynecology & Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University. She completed her MD at Johns Hopkins University and residency training in Ob/Gyn at Washington University. Her area of interest is Biology of Human Reproduction and the link between obesity and gynecologic disorders.
Malak El Sabeh, MD
Dr. El Sabeh is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dr. Borahay lab at the Dept. of Gynecology & Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University. She completed her MD from the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. Her area of interest is clinical and translational research in Gynecology and Obstetrics. She aspires to be a successful Physician Scientist.
Ryota Ishiwata, MS
Ryota Ishiwata is volunteering at Dr. Borahay lab at the Dept. of Gynecology & Obstetrics, Johns Hopkins University. He completed his MS in Statistics from Columbia University at New York. He is a biostastistician with special expertise statistical programming and Clinical Trials in academia and pharmaceutical industry.
Gregory Kirschen, MD, PhD
Gregory Kirschen is a recent graduate of the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where he earned his MD and PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology. His interests include pharmacology during pregnancy, fetal neurological development, and abnormalities of the female reproductive tract. He is a current resident in the Gyn/Ob program at Hopkins.
Bhuchitra Singh, MD, MPH
Dr. Singh is a Senior Research Data Analyst at the Howard W. and Georgeanna Seegars Jones Laboratory. He received his medical degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Science, India, and completed his post graduate training in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Natasha Charewycz
Natasha is currently undergraduate student at the The Johns Hopkins University Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. She is on the premedical track. She aspires to be a Physician Scientist and specializes in women's health.
